School meals will still be available to all students; however, they will not be free to all students. Households may apply for free or reduced-price meal benefits. Applications are available at pdys.org or at any school office. Eligibility for free and reduced-price lunch is based on federal income guidelines or participation in other programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Ohio Works First. Pricing:
Breakfast and lunch prices will remain the same as last year.
For the 2023-24 school year, the price of meals will be as follows:

Free and Reduce Information:
New this year: The State of Ohio will reimburse schools the former household financial obligation of a reduced-price meal ($0.30 breakfast and $0.40 lunch). Therefore, each student who qualifies for Reduced meals is automatically Free.
All free and reduced applications will expire on Wednesday, September 27,2023. New applications have to be signed and dated after July 1, 2023 to be valid. Applications are available online at PaySchools, paper applications will be available at open house or in the schools office.
Purchasing Meals:
You can monitor your student’s meal account at PaySchoolsCentral.com.
You can add funds, setup to receive low balance notifications and monitor what they are purchasing.
School Meals:
At Pike-Delta-York, we participate in the USDA National School Breakfast and National School Lunch Program. We follow the national nutritional standards and meal patterns requirements.
Breakfast requirements include: entrées consisting of whole grains, fruit and milk.
Lunch requirements include: entrée comprised of lean meat and grain, ½ cup fruit, ½ cup vegetable and fat-free flavored or 1% white milk.
We are an Offer verses Serve school; students must take at least a fruit or vegetable at both breakfast and lunch to qualify for a full meal according to the USDA.

Delay Days
On "delay" days breakfast is still served but menus for the day may be modified. If we have consecutive delays or cancelations the menu may continue to be modified to prevent food loss or spoilage.

Don't forget about Breakfast! Starting your day with a good breakfast boosts your energy, increases your attention span and heightens your sense of well-being. If your student receives free or reduced lunch, they also receive a free or reduced price breakfast if they choose to eat with us.
